Mo + Alex

Mohini & Alex had without question the most creative wedding we have seen to date! A huge fan of board games, the couple used Clue as their inspiration for wedding reception decor and it was most fun! Their wedding day took place at the Texas Federation of Women's Club which set the perfect scene for Clue to come alive.

The girls started their day at Stephen F. Austin hotel before heading over to the ceremony. Blending both cultures, they had two ceremonies including a traditional Indian ceremony officiated by the bride's uncle and a traditional Christian ceremony officiated by a friend of the couple. Guests were then led into the parlor of the mansion where they found mini filing cabinets filled with envelopes containing clues to find their guest tables. After being invited into the reception, they searched for their tables using the clues and were treated to both bbq and an unbelievable spread of Indian dishes and desserts. They also had a stunning collection of French macarons in varied shades and flavors along with flourless chocolate cakes.

The couple opted for rich blues, golds, peaches and reds in their wedding decor and we couldn't have asked for better weather in January! Flowers by Little Yellow Flower Design made her design truly pop and we couldn't stop gushing over the arch!Their DJ was incredible and when we say guests were on the dance floor all evening, it is not an understatement! Mo & Alex also offered a lounge with board games for guests who wanted to take a break! The couple also stole away from some late-night smoke bomb photos and finished the evening with a flashlight exit! These two are truly the best.

"We always advise our clients to take out a policy on their wedding day (especially since it is only a few hundred dollars) and many venues require it," says Camille Ross of Elsie Event Co. "The lingering flu season is upon us and it's important to plan accordingly in case we were to shut down again. It would be a genuine mistake to not insure yourself."
