Tori + Joe

11.23.2019 | Austin, TX

Tori & Joe were married on a sunny November Saturday in the cheery city of Austin. After meeting in college and spending many years dating cross-country (Tori in San Francisco & Joe in Austin) the couple settled in Austin and began planning their wedding once Joe popped the question. Both being UT alumni, they chose the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center on UT's own campus. Pre-reception, they were married at Tarrytown United Methodist Church in a traditional ceremony and we have never seen a happier groom!

They started their day at AT&T Conference center with the ever-talented Donna Bruns & Grace Filipowicz leading makeup & hair teams. The ceremony (and reception) showcased beautiful florals from Westbank Flower Market in soft pinks & whites. Tori & Joe put some thought into their music with a string trio & soloist leading into a cocktail hour duo, then the reception rev-up of Hot Sauce. No wedding could be complete without an emotional blind first look and the sweetest flower girl!

Guests danced the night away, ate food for days by Rosemary's Catering who went over and beyond the call of duty with gorgeous ice sculptures and beautiful displays. It was an evening to remember for the sweetest couple there ever was. Tori's design details included a "his and hers" bar each consisting of two different designs showcasing their personalities. Mixes of tall and short arrangements by Westbank Flower Market kept the room balanced while mood lighting by Ilios Productions brought everything together. Tori & Joe kept things traditional with the first dances, cake cutting by Lady Quackenbush's Cakery (plus the cutest mini key lime pies!) The evening continued with a full dance floor led by Hot Sauce and ended with a second line out to a horse drawn carriage. These two headed straight to Mexico post-wedding for a winter honeymoon in sunnier skies.

"We always advise our clients to take out a policy on their wedding day (especially since it is only a few hundred dollars) and many venues require it," says Camille Ross of Elsie Event Co. "The lingering flu season is upon us and it's important to plan accordingly in case we were to shut down again. It would be a genuine mistake to not insure yourself."
