About Camille
With over 13 years in the industry, Camille Ross is a passionate wedding planner with vast experience executing unique events of all sizes. Whether it’s planning events for Food Network stars, fundraising Galas, Elvis Presley-themed wedding, or an intimate dinner on a private island, for Camille it always comes down to the attention to personalized details that make a memorable event.
Diving headfirst into the business, Camille began her career planning luxury events with Creative Consultants in Austin, TX, before running a wedding planning company in Grand Cayman, where she gained experience in both the upscale and international markets. After returning to her hometown of Austin, she managed events at the Four Seasons Hotel and served as the in-house events director for the James Beard Foundation winning Hai Hospitality, both of which provided a professional yet familial hospitality perspective to her wedding planning approach from the guest experience to her enduring client relationships (true story - she once executed a 500-person wedding with a broken rib, how’s that for dedication?).
Camille launched Elsie Event Co. in 2017, using her range of industry knowledge and relationships as well as a wide network of VIP clientele in Texas and beyond, Camille has been a long-time ally to both clients and peers. She current sits on the school board of TUMC and has a passion for the Center for Child Protection. At home, Camille enjoys time cooking with her family, playing with dog Louie and spending time with daughter, Elsie.
About Melanie
Melanie was born and raised in Texas and despite a quick year in Denver, has spent the last decade in Austin. After obtaining a culinary arts degree, she set forth into the culinary world with an extensive run at Hai Hospitality, along with Elite Personal Chefs. As an added bonus, she offers our clients the added option of in-home or virtual cooking classes for bachelor/ette groups, rehearsal dinners, girl's night in & more! Austin has always been Melanie's favorite place and in her spare time, you can find her exploring the city and its surroundings along, cooking up a storm and creating culinary experiences for the community.​Mel joined the Elsie Event Co. team in 2019 after her return from Denver and has been owner, Camille's, right hand woman since. Melanie is an essential part of wedding day ensuring no detail is left behind and that everyone is well taken care of!
